Blaise Surhigh

Blaise Surhigh is the Tax Manager at Denver Wealth Family Office, where he leads the development of tax compliance and planning capabilities. As the first dedicated tax professional at DWM, Blaise is building out the systems and processes that integrate tax strategy into the firm’s holistic approach to wealth management. His focus is on delivering thoughtful, proactive solutions that enhance the client experience and drive long-term value.

Originally from Michigan, Blaise earned both his undergraduate degree in Business and his Master’s in Accounting from the University of Michigan. He began his career with Plante Moran in Ann Arbor before joining Deloitte in Seattle. In 2023, Blaise relocated to Denver and rejoined Plante Moran, continuing to deepen his expertise in tax planning and technical analysis.

Outside of work, Blaise is an avid skier and was the social chair of the University of Michigan Ski and Snowboard Alpine Racing Team. He’s also the drummer in a punk/rock cover band he co-founded with friends in Denver. When he's not on the slopes or behind the drum kit, Blaise enjoys dog-sitting for friends and playing or watching soccer whenever he gets the chance.
