Denver Wealth Management Scholarship Golf Tournament
FORE! We only have one year to use that little play on words, and that's this year: the fourth annual Denver Wealth Management Scholarship Golf Tournament.
Proceeds from this tournament benefit the Denver Tech Center Rotary Club's Sally Shuler Scholarship Fund, which aims to support multiple graduating Thomas Jefferson High School seniors each year.
Again, this scramble-style tournament will be in Littleton, Colorado, at the renowned Arrowhead Golf Club. Join us on Monday, August 1st, for an 8 a.m. (MST) shot-gun start. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, green/cart fees, range balls, and tournament swag—who doesn't like some free giveaways?
This year, we've lowered the participation cost to $175. Again, proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Sally Shuler Scholarship Fund.
Upon registration, please indicate if you will be golfing with a specific group. You will receive a follow-up email with payment instructions.
As we near the event, you can expect an email outlining full tournament details—please confirm that you are subscribed to our email list to receive event updates. Email austyn@denverwealthmanagement.com with event questions.
ABOUT THE CAUSE
There are three facets of this cause: Rotary Club International, the DTC club, and the Sally Shuler Scholarship Fund.
With a current network of over 1.2 million members globally, the Rotary Club aims to solve real-world problems through community involvement and volunteering.
The organization was initially founded in Chicago in 1905 as means of networking. Local business people would rotate (hence, Rotary) among each others' businesses to share ideas and form meaningful relationships.
Rotary's original objective was global Polio relief—now 99.9% complete. Since then, each clubs' objectives have varied from community to international projects.
THE DTC ROTARY CLUB
DWM team member Austyn Garcia joined the Rotary club in 2018 for an opportunity to better engage with our community. The DTC Rotary Club offers structured volunteering opportunities, many of which focus on local education (a value that DWM shares).
Other club projects include clothing drives, food drives, fundraisers, monetary support, and global health projects. Learn more here.
THE SALLY SHULER SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Established in 2019, the Sally Shuler Scholarship Fund was named after one of the DTC club's most prestigious and founding members, Sally Shuler. Sally began her Rotary career in 1947 with the Mt. Olive club in North Carolina. Since then, Sally has contributed enormously to clubs around the country, assuming presidential, district chair, and district officer positions.
The scholarship provides several scholarships for Thomas Jefferson High School graduates who live by Rotary's motto: service above self.
Disclosures: The DTC Rotary Club, Rotary International, and the Sally Shuler Scholarship are not affiliated with Denver Wealth Management, Inc. and LPL Financial.
